| On Monday afternoon I went for a last tour through Paris, cycling around Montmartre, on Avenue des Champs-Élysées, around Place Charles de Gaulle, underneath the Eiffel Tower, across Montparnasse, along the banks of the Seine and oozing through 1 Arrondissement back to my friends’ house, then quickly catching my train back to Amsterdam.

| Niger is a landlocked country in Western Africa, named after the Niger River. Nigerien culture is marked by variation, evidence of the cultural crossroads which French colonialism formed into a unified state from the beginning of the 20th century.
