Some 38 youth hostels are open to anyone carrying a youth hostel card, and hundreds of campgrounds are sprinkled around the country. A campsite for tents, camper vans and with cottages is located right in Amsterdam.

| I decided to get myself out of Dodge, cycle south (there’s only one way, lol) along the Amstel River to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, clearing myself from that bubbly and busy town. Also a golden opportunity to show you a quiet spot is only a stone throw away, so to speak.
